Worth the annual subscription

I was looking for a good deal on a tracking app and saw Strava had an annual subscription discount, which made it much cheaper than paying monthly. I use it for the Cycling Distance Tracker and Route Planner. It's helped me discover new routes and keep tabs on my progress without spending too much. The 30 day free trial also let me try it out first, which was a big plus before committing to the annual payment. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Good for my runs!

I finally signed up for the Strava Subscription after using the free version for a while. I mostly use it for GPS Run Tracking and it works really well. It's nice to see my routes and how fast I'm going. The app is pretty easy to use too, not too complicated. I'm glad I decided to get it, it makes my morning runs more fun.

Love the features!

I just got the Strava Premium and it's fantastic! The Live Segments are so motivating, and the Heatmaps are super cool for finding new places to explore. I've been using it for my hiking and bike rides, and the Turn by Turn Navigation is a lifesaver. Setting goals and seeing my Fitness and Freshness Score has really pushed me. I'm telling everyone about this, it's just what I needed for my workouts!

Easy to use, good data

I got the Strava Subscription to try the Power Analysis and it's been great. Syncs with my Wahoo perfectly. Data is clear.

Solid tracking, could improve support

I purchased the annual Strava Subscription mainly for the Training Plans and Heart Rate Analysis. The data tracking itself is very solid; it accurately captured my cycling and running stats, and the plans offered a good structure for my workouts. The user interface is mostly intuitive, but I did have a small issue with syncing my wearable once. It took a bit of digging through their help articles to figure it out, and I wish their customer service was a bit more responsive to quick questions. Overall, it's a good value for the features you get, but a slightly smoother support experience would make it five stars.

Does strava have a family plan or something similar? my spouse and i both want to use it.

M Mark Hernandez 1 month ago
I don't think they have a specific 'family plan' like Netflix or something. Each person needs their own subscription.

Nah, no family plan as far as I know. You'd both need separate accounts and subscriptions.

Can I cancel my premium subscription easily if I decide it's not for me?

S Susan T. 1 month ago
Yep, super easy to cancel. Just go into your account settings on the website, not the app, and you can manage your subscription there.

Yeah I cancelled once, no hassle at all. It just ran until the end of my billing period.

Thinking of signing up for strava but not sure if i'll stick with it. is there a free trial or something?

S Sandra 1 week ago
Yeah, they usually have a 30-day free trial. I think I even got a 60-day one when I signed up through a specific link a while back.

They pretty much always offer a trial. Just check their main site, it's usually pretty obvious to find the free trial button.

I saw something about 'live segments' on their site. what is that exactly?

B Brittany Torres 2 weeks ago
Live segments are pretty cool! If you have a compatible device, it'll show you in real-time how you're doing against your PR or the KOM/QOM on a segment while you're actually out there.

It's basically a real-time race against yourself or others on specific parts of a route. You need a premium account and a supported GPS device though.

How accurate is the GPS tracking on strava? like, compared to my garmin watch.

R Robert 1 month ago
Strava uses your device's GPS, so it's usually as accurate as your Garmin is. It's more about the device than Strava itself.

Mine seems pretty spot on with my Apple Watch. I haven't noticed any weird discrepancies really.
